International Experiences for Spring 2023 Graduating Seniors

Congratulations to recent graduating seniors Nathan Behrends, Gracie Greiner, Sofia Fernandez, Amber Friedrichsen, Leah Mosher, and Turner Anderson as recipients of the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences CALS Council Senior Awards. Each recipient participated or planned to participate in an array of international opportunities during their time at Iowa State University. 

Nathan Behrends

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Outstanding Senior Award

Nathan Behrends participated in the Soils, Crops, and Water of Costa Rica Fall 2021 and Business Development Study Trip in Brazil and Argentina Spring 2023

Grace Greiner

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Leadership Excellence Award

Gracie Greiner participated in the UK Heritage Livestock Spring 2022 and Greece and Italy: Food, Culture and Agriculture Spring 2023

Sofia Fernandez

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Distinguished Service Award

Sofia Fernandez spent a semester in Madrid Spring 2022 and a semester in Uganda on the  Creating a School Garden: Service-Learning program Summer 2022

Amber Friedrichsen

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Academic Achievement Award

Amber Friedrichsen participated in the Soils, Crops and Water of Costa Rica Fall 2021 and Culture and Economic Diversification in the United Arab Emirates Fall 2022

Leah Mosher

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Ambassador of Agriculture and Life Sciences Award

Leah Mosher participated in the Agriculture & History of the Mississippi Delta Spring 2022 and Greece and Italy: Food, Culture, and Agriculture Spring 2023

Turner Anderson

2023 recipient of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Award

Turner Anderson planned to go to New Zealand, Massey University in spring 2021,  but program was cancelled due to COVID-19.
