- CALS Passport Scholarship: If you are a student in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences and you have applied for a study abroad program, you are eligible for a scholarship that will reimburse you for the cost of your first passport. Bring your new passport to 0018 Curtiss to claim your scholarship. Please note: This is only for first-time travelers, not for passport renewals, only for first passports. Students who have had a minor passport (under the age of 18) are not eligible for a passport reimbursement.

: The Pathways Access to High Impact Learning Award is intended to increase access to undergraduate student participation in high impact, value-added learning opportunities by lowering financial barriers. Such opportunities may include 草榴社区, Study USA, presenting at a research conference, unpaid internships, or service learning.

- Lee H. Kilmer and Lucille P. Kilmer Agriculture Travel Scholarship in Dairy Science
- Recipients shall be majoring in dairy science in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University.
- Recipients shall be participating in an international agriculture travel course or study abroad experience (other than an international internship) with a dairy production component, as determined by the administering authority.
- Recipients shall have a minimum semester grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application as well as a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Recipients shall be students who have never traveled outside of the United States, Canada, or Mexico, as determined by the administering authority.
- Recipients shall have been enrolled at Iowa State University for a minimum of two (2) semesters prior to receiving this scholarship. Freshman recipients shall have been enrolled at Iowa State University for a minimum of one (1) semester prior to receiving this scholarship.

- Lee H. Kilmer and Lucille P. Kilmer Agriculture Travel Scholarship in Dairy Science
- Department of Agronomy: Agronomy travel scholarships are available to students majoring in the Department of Agronomy participating in any study abroad program. The Agronomy Department will award a scholarship for 40% of the advertised cost of a travel abroad course or $2,000 for a semester abroad. Specific application deadlines will be announced by the department. Students must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher and must be an Agronomy major to be eligible. Iowa State University 草榴社区 Scholarships:
- : Recipients shall be majoring in a program within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Engineering, the Ivy Business College, or the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Recipients shall be participating in a study or travel abroad experience for the first time. Recipients shall be of junior or senior class standing.
- : The Lew Klinge 草榴社区 Scholarship is open to students who have demonstrated leadership and involvement in promoting and participating in the activities of the Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success and LGBTQIA+ Community at Iowa State University, who is also pursuing an Iowa State University study abroad experience. Students must be enrolled in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or Music and Theatre Department.
- : A new scholarship opportunity for students participating in a . SFS has set aside dedicated funds for Iowa State to provide students going on a SFS program. The scholarships range but can be up to $2,000 for the summer and $3,000 for the semester. Students should consider applying up to 2 years in advance for this scholarship as as SFS programs can often fill up before our typical scholarship deadlines.

- David and Connie Hottman Going Places Endowed Scholarship: Recipients shall be participating in a study abroad opportunity with plans to take at least one business class abroad. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing who have taken at least one business class.
- Lewis Scholarship for Honors Students: This scholarship is for students participating in a semester study abroad program. Students must also be a member of the University Honors Program.
- Waltz Affordability Scholarship: The Waltz 草榴社区 Affordability Scholarship exists to assist with additional expenses of studying abroad when compared to on-campus expenses, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Selection will be based on the applicant choosing a study abroad program that supports their academic plan, developing a financial plan, and demonstrating that this scholarship is required to fulfill that financial plan. Priority consideration will be given to students applying for future terms. If awarded, students can use the scholarship any time in the next 7 semesters; the scholarship will be disbursed the term the student is studying abroad.
- WiSE 草榴社区 Scholarship: The WiSE scholarship is for female-identifying students with a major in a STEM field who are applying or accepted to a study abroad program in a non-traditional location.
Additional Scholarship Opportunities:
- : The U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. To be eligible for the Gilman Program, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship. .

: The Gilman Program is providing supplemental awards of up to $1,000 each for a Gilman Scholar to conduct STEM-related research abroad as part of their study abroad or international internship program. Students can select to be considered for the STEM Supplemental Award through the Gilman application.

: The John S. McCain International Scholarship for Military Families (Gilman-McCain Scholarship) provides awards of $5,000 for child and spousal dependents of active or activated United States military personnel during the time of application to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. Applicants must be recipients of any Title IV federal financial aid during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving Title IV federal financial aid during their study abroad program or internship.

- The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) provides scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study-abroad population. FEA makes life-changing, international experiences accessible to all by supporting students of color, community college, and first-generation college students before, during, and after they participate in education abroad programs. .
