In the ISU EARTH Program, undergraduate students will learn about the culture of the people of the Caribbean and U.S. Virgin Islands’ agriculture and ecosystems, while participating in service-learning activities focused on a variety of topics in environmental science, horticulture, sustainability, soil science, culinary science, education and communication, and more!
The summer program duration is approximately 6 weeks.
Program Courses include:

Required pre-departure seminar on campus leading up to the trip

Hort or Globe 494B: 1-3 Credits for service learning course

Globe 494C: U.S. Diversity course for 3 Credits
There is also the potential to take ISU online courses while on the island and earn credit for internship experiences (Hort 398, GLOBE 321, NREM 104, etc.)
