With the growth of the world鈥檚 population and the increasing awareness that our natural resources are limited, development of sustainable systems to produce food is essential. Globally, the food industry is one of the largest industrial sectors, consumes tremendous amounts of energy and water, and can result in large quantities of waste; thus food has a critical impact on the environment, including greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
Austria and Germany Equestrian Program - May 2025

Tour the farms and regions of Germany and Austria to learn about international opportunities and guidelines in related equestrian events such as jumpers, eventers and western all-around horses.
Touring the Austrian and German riding associations enables students to compare and contrast American versus European techniques, governance and styles.

The 鈥�Empowering Future Leaders in Sustainable Development Through Service Learning in Uganda鈥� program is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to experience and contribute to a sustainable development project through a service learning experience in rural Uganda. This is an outstanding opportunity for students to live and work cross-culturally with Ugandan students from Makerere University.
