The mission of the CALS 草榴社区 office is to ensure students have high-quality international academic opportunities. The CALS 草榴社区 office provides administrative and logistical support for faculty to develop and lead faculty-led study abroad programs. Faculty-led CALS study abroad programs are short-term study abroad programs that integrate an international component into the regular curriculum.

FORMING THE GROUP
Choosing to develop a course abroad can seem like a daunting task. Experienced faculty tell us that it is an incredibly rewarding experience, but we also know it is a lot of work. We are here to help you make the process more manageable. We have years of experience and can draw from expert faculty leaders to provide you the guidance and the tools to make your program happen.
We are a full-service study abroad office located at 0018 Curtiss Hall. With a mission to support students as they seek to make a difference in the world, our office provides support to students studying abroad, faculty and staff interested in developing and integrating international opportunities into their curriculum, and academic advisors, so they can best advise students interested in pursuing international opportunities during their time at Iowa State University.
