Students will travel to Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. We will spend 3-4 days each exploring the rainforest along the eastern coast of Madagascar and the spiny forest in southwestern Madagascar. There will be an in-country flight from Antananarivo to Toliara as we move between the rainforest and spiny forest regions. The trip will include guided hikes in national parks and private nature reserves where students will learn about the natural history, plants, and wildlife of these contrasting forest types.
